This is a Seals only meet. The purpose of Time Trials is to establish official baseline times for swimmers, and for the team to test the equipment prior to the first dual meet, as well as to give new families the opportunity to become familiar with how the meet runs. All families are expected to assist with running Time Trials. Please note that Time Trials, Invitational meets and Blue and Gold do not count towards the volunteer work credits. We need all families to attend and work Time Trials (introduction/training to swim meets). |

Invitational Information: Medieval Madness: The Age Wars Invitational Ages 9–18 Sponsored by Gehringer Park Swim Team Meet Overview Date / Time: Saturday, May 30th Gates Open: 7am PS Warm ups: 8:35-8:55 AM in lanes 4,5,6 Meet begins at 9:00 AM Location: Gehringer Park Recreation Club 1790 Lynwood Drive, Concord, CA 94519 Host Team: Gehringer Park Swim Team (GPST) Age Groups: Swimmers (male & female) ages 9–18 The Medieval Madness Invitational, hosted by GPST, is a fun, middle-ages-themed swim meet for swimmers aged 9 and older, featuring standard strokes, 50s for older swimmers and a Medieval themed relay. Heat Sheets and Events: Meet Program and Athlete Events Refer to the TEAM HANDBOOK for what to bring on meet day. Writing Events on your Swimmers Arm for Meets Team Camp Map: Team Camp Area Follow the Meet: Meet Mobile and Time Drops (code 1234). VOLUNTEER WORK ASSIGNMENTS: All participating families are required to volunteer and volunteering at GPST does NOT count towards volunteer credits for the season. Each family is required to work at any invitational meet their child attends, regardless of the swimmer’s age and the family’s volunteer work credit status. A schedule of the volunteer jobs will be assigned by the Work Coordinator and sent out to the participating families one week before the event. If you have a conflict, you may trade job assignments with another family, with their agreement but please inform the Work Coordinators of the change. Fees: There are fees associated with all Invitational meets as they are fundraising events for the host team. There is a "splash" fee for each swimmer and a cost per event entered. This year these fees will be covered by the team Please note, if you sign-up your swimmer for an Invitational meet and your swimmer fails to swim in the meet, your family will be asked to cover for the cost of the swimmer’s splash fee and entries, including relays in which they have been entered. There will also be a $100 no-show fee for the assigned volunteer job. Notes & Reminders: Notes & Reminders No parents (other than timers) are allowed behind the diving blocks. No photography behind the blocks. - Swimmers behind the timers must be swimming within the next two heats, and remain quiet for the start of each race. Keep deck and team areas clean Timers: Check-in early for assigned lanes Be ready for fun, competitive racing — in true medieval spirit! Events & Rules Meet Order: Swimmers race by age (9 vs 9, 10 vs 10, etc.) - All individual strokes are 50 yards - Heats seeded fastest to slowest (any heat can score) 1. Medley Relay 2. Individual Medley (IM)- 100 yds 3. Freestyle 4. Breaststroke 5. Butterfly 6. Backstroke 7. Free Relay 8. Medieval Fun Relay (No Charge) Medieval Fun Relay: - Non-scored, no charge, mixed ages/genders allowed - “Armor relay” — swimmers collect and assemble armor pieces before ringing the bell! Awards: Ribbons will be awarded to the top 6 finishers in each individual event and top 3 teams in relay events. We will have an award for the top scoring team as well as awards for high point boy and high point girl for each age group. THE SHALLOW ENTRY STEPS, PLAY POOL, AND DIVING WELL ARE OFF LIMITS DURING THE MEET BSR, CST, SVST, OAKCC & PSST: on grassy area and covered patio behind orange cones (along Buckley St side) PARKING: PLEASE OBEY THE NO PARKING SIGNS AND RED ZONES. DO NOT BLOCK RESIDENTIAL DRIVEWAYS. THE MARTINEZ POLICE DEPARTMENT WILL BE PATROLLING THE AREA, TICKETING, AND TOWING VEHICLES. FOOD & VENDORS: The Otter Café offers a variety of pre-packaged breakfast items. We will also be offering hot & cold beverages along with the usual assortment of goodies. Pinole Seals @ Brentwood Dolphin Dual Meet When: Saturday, June 13th, 2026 @ 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Doors Open: 7:30 AM Warm-ups: Pinole Seals 8:30 AM Location & Directions: Heritage High School Pool 101 American Avenue, Brentwood, CA 94513 From HWY 4 • Eastbound from Antioch, Westbound from Mountain House • Exit Balfour Rd (exit 35) • From eastbound turn right (west), from westbound turn left (west) onto Balfour Rd. • Tune Left on American Ave (1 mi). • Turn right at first right into parking lot under solar panel Heat Sheets: will be posted here: at least one day before event Shepherding/Clerk of the Course: Shepherding area for both teams is in the Breezeway north of the pool. Depending on the size of the meet & the current health considerations, this location may change. Facility Rules: Brentwood Dolphins share the facility with the City of Brentwood and Heritage High School. The following are the rules established to ensure the safety and enjoyment of everyone participating. Meet Setup (Heritage High) BDSC Home Pool Dual Meet Setup (Heritage High) Facility Use Due to noise, space limitations, health regulations, and parts of the facility that are off limits, only meet officials, workers, and swimmers preparing to swim are allowed on the immediate deck around the pool. Rope stanchions are used to restrict access to these of the pool deck from general traffic. Swimmers and Parents are not to cross into these areas without escort. The outer deck and bleachers are open to observers of both teams but closed to popups and chairs. The grass area to the south and breeze way to the north are also common areas shared by both teams. The Bullpen area may change, we will provide an update before the meet if it does. Concessions: We will have a Food Truck: Signature burgers. Menu will be shared soon. Swimming supplies such as goggles, caps, and merch may be available at the BDSC Bullpen. Cash, Venmo, and cards accepted. Parking: Parking is available under the solar panels at first right on American Ave. |

Location: Ellerhorst Elementary School in the Multipurpose Room This team event is all about bonding, fun, and making memories. Once RSVPs are in, Coach Alex and Coach Kayla will pair each Seal with a buddy. These pairings are meant to help kids build friendships and support each other throughout the swim season. RSVP on SwimTopia by Tuesday, June 7th Dinner: Potluck! Dessert and drinks will be planned by the kiddos (more info to come) Parents: As much as we love to be flies on the wall, this event is kids only. Unless you’re volunteering to chaperone, enjoy a night off or with one less kiddo. (Sign-ups available on SwimTopia.) Keep an eye out for another email once buddies are announced. Summer Practice times - Starts June 15th Practice is Monday through Friday Summer Practice times pending (Group and Lane assignments will be emailed once summer schedule is finalized) *Groups will be assigned by the coaches based on capacity and skill level and your swimmer may be asked to attend a different practice at any point during the season. The coaches are expecting all swimmers to participate in Dryland, the 1st 15 minutes of practice for team building, attendance, warm-ups and stretching before swimming. + Seal Pups practice time remains the same as Spring from: 6:00- 6:30 pm on Tues, Wed, and Thursdays |
